Our Charity Golf Day

Chestertons Estate Agent

Chestertons’ 4th annual Charity Golf Day saw nearly 50 players take on the grass at Malden Golf Club. A mix of Chestertons’ staff, clients and suppliers, the day is held every year in order to raise money for our charity partner St Mungo’s.

Despite 30oC heat and almost no breeze, players had an enjoyable day testing weather conditions, and good golf was played by all. Head of Research, Nick Barnes, who organises the event every year said this year attracted the highest number of players yet.

“It is an excellent way of combining pleasure, charitable endeavour and networking, and I would urge anyone who plays golf to whatever level (handicaps this year ranged from 0 up to 28) to consider taking part in next year’s event.”

After the round was completed, trophies and prizes were presented by Allan Collins, Deputy Chairman of the international group. Winners included Chris Brewster (Rightmove) for Nearest Pin, Ed Gascoigne (St James’s Place) for Longest Drive and Tom Carlisle (Chestertons) for Individual Winner. Walking away as Team Winners were Dan Taylor, Adam Merali, Dan Mitchell and James Firman ( Rob Neale from St Mungo’s followed with a short speech on the relationship with Chestertons and outlining our new initiative First Response.

Our raffle, which included prizes such as a botanical gin pack and a round of golf for four at Malden Golf Club, raised £357. When added to the amount raised on the day equals a grand total of £3,077, all going towards a very worthwhile cause.

A special thank you to our sponsors: Prodec; St James’s Place; Rightmove; Springtide; Ravensworth; Chestertons FX and Positive Images for taking part, Nicola Thivessen for conducting the raffle and Andy Paul of Prodec who took charge of scoring.

We look forward to an equally successful day next year!
