Land Registry reveal further slowing in annual house price growth in London, although at 16.3% in the year to December, average price growth remains frothy. Waltham Forest (+25.1%) is now the borough with the strongest growth, followed by Newham (+24.2%) and Southwark (+23.8%). The central boroughs of Kensington & Chelsea (+11.5%) and Westminster (+14.2%) are respectively, the slowest and third slowest in terms of annual price growth.
NB comment: average achieved prices in London continue to slow but the imbalance between supply and demand is sustaining growth at more than twice the national average.
