Latest available data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show that in the year to end-June 2013, a total of 552,520 UK residents moved into London, 65% from other London boroughs and 35% from outside London. Wandsworth received the highest number of in-migrants (29,710) which equated to 9.6% of the total resident population followed closely by Lambeth (29,020 – 9.4% of the total resident population).

In contrast, almost one in three wealthy Londoners are planning to leave in the next five years, according to a report by Barclays Wealth and Investment Management.
