History of Hurlingham

Hurlingham Main

A high octane, fast moving and dynamic sport

Chestertons Polo in the Park

The Hurlingham Club in Fulham, south-west London, has long been a popular private club, thanks in part to its river views, excellent sporting facilities and of course the grand, historic Hurlingham House. However, it is also the historic home of polo and it was the Club’s association with the sport that brought it to the attention of the world and the privileged social sets of Victorian and Edwardian Britain.

Today, the Club continues to offer members excellent sporting facilities and a varied social calendar. Hurlingham Park, one of the club’s original polo fields, is now a public recreational and sporting field and once a year in June, in partnership with The Hurlingham Club, it hosts the world’s largest three-day polo event, Chestertons Polo in the Park.
