Just across the river is the London Wetland centre, an interesting oasis for those looking to connect with nature. For those with children, it provides both a fun and educational escape.
The Fulham area is home to two top flight football clubs: Chelsea Football Club (Stamford Bridge) and Fulham Football Club (Craven Cottage). The internationally renowned Hurlingham Club sits on the River looking towards Putney. The Club is credited with bringing polo to Britain and used to be the headquarters of Polo. In fact, the game is still regulated by the Hurlingham Polo Association. Each year professional polo teams compete at Chestertons Polo in the Park, in Hurlingham Park.
