Average rental values in London rose by 2.4%
Nick Barnes, Head of Research
According to the latest Homelet Rental Index, average rental values in London rose by 2.4% from July to August, to reach a record £1,464 pcm - 11.4% higher than in August 2013.
NB comment: supply has become more constrained while tenant demand remains firm which is exerting upwards pressure on rents in the broader market. Even the prime segment is seeing a pick-up in rental values and tenants do not enjoy quite the same.
