Allan Collins (BA, ACA, CIOT) – Deputy Chairman
Allan qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1986 with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, in the ten years he was with PwC he spent time in the Tax and Advisory divisions where he became a Senior Manager gaining experience, in particular, in mergers and acquisitions.
Allan spent four years as Finance Director within the shipping division of P&O turning the business around, he then joined Savills as Finance Director in 1998. Over the 14 years of his tenure the business grew from a turnover of £40m to over £200m. The number of offices increased from 35 to 80. In 2000 he was instrumental in raising funds to spin off and “list” Savills’ in-house marketing team onto the AIM market.
Allan joined Chestertons as Chief Financial Officer in May 2012 to help with the expansion and growth of the business. He was responsible for financial control, IT, HR, acquisitions, business efficiency, strategy and expansion. In March 2017 Allan became Chestertons CEO, during his tenure, Allan helped build a stable and profitable business across all of Chestertons business divisions.
In June 2018 Allan was promoted to Deputy Chairman of the international group. Allan will implement an international strategy to create a strong and progressive global business.
Guy Gittins - Managing Director
Guy holds a first class honours degree from Oxford Brookes University where he studied Engineering and Business Management. On graduating, Guy was attracted to the fast and exciting pace of the property industry and took a position as a junior negotiator with Foxtons. Within 18 months Guy was recognised by his seniors as the top sales negotiator in London and was quickly promoted to management where he went on to manage the company’s largest sales team in Central London.
In 2007, Guy was employed as the Sales Director for a well-known international property developer and hotelier. Based in the Caribbean as sales Director he was responsible for the sales and marketing of numerous exclusive mixed use property developments with an end sales value of over $2 billion.
In 2010, Guy was one of only four people carefully selected to sell apartments in one of the most expensive and exclusive developments in the world Candy & Candy’s renowned One Hyde Park - where his primary focus was negotiating with ultra-high net worth individuals and agreeing sales, some of which were in excess of £60 million pounds.
Following his success at One Hyde Park, Guy moved to Chestertons to take up a new position as Director of the company’s flagship office in Chelsea. Guy strengthened the sales department and increased the branches revenue by 300% in his first year and was later promoted to Sales Director to improve performance revenue across the Company.
In 2016, Guy was promoted to Head of Residential Sales where he is currently responsible for improving the performance and business practice of all of Chestertons’ London sales departments.
In June 2018 Guy was appointed Managing Director.
Richard Davies – Head of Residential Lettings
Richard graduated from university having studied Civil Engineering and after spending a year as part of a team building a coastal onshore oil terminal, he then became an estate agent in London.
After gaining a year’s experience with Woolwich Property Services, Richard was approached to work for Chestertons who, at that time, were part of the same group of companies.
Richard’s property experience covers both sales and lettings and from 1998 to 2005 he successfully ran a number of the Chesterton offices including Wimbledon, Pimlico, Chelsea, Docklands and Tower Bridge. Working his way up through the business from the rank of a negotiator to office manager and then into an Area Director role until today, he has held the post of Head of Residential since 2011. Richard has played an instrumental role driving the residential business from originally 12 offices to the multi-disciplined international property business that represents Chestertons of today.
Although there have been many significant changes in the business through his nearing 20 years of employment, the ethos of delivering a high level of service and developing long term client relationships continues to thrive.
