Welcome to Brook Green

Nestled between Kensington, Shepherds Bush and Hammersmith, Brook Green is a tranquil area that has the charm of being slightly removed from the bustle of central London, whilst maintaining good transport links.  With a community feel, the area attracts affluent families and young professionals with its 18th and 19th Century properties and selection of good schools.  Large family homes overlooking the greenery of the park, mansion blocks and pretty cottages can all be found in Brook Green.

There are excellent gastropubs and wine bars in the area and larger destinations for evening entertainment are also nearby: Shepherds Bush Empire is a large music venue hosting a variety of concerts, whilst the Lyric Theatre in Hammersmith has an eclectic mix of shows and performances.

Best place for a quiet drink

Overlooking the Brook Green park, The Queen’s Head is a cosy pub with wood beams, a fireplace and leafy garden.  It is a great local spot for an evening drink in both warm and cold weather.

  • Parks & recreation

In the heart of the area is Brook Green itself, a large green area with picturesque walks and tennis courts, as well as a children’s play area recently designed with a large investment and opened in 2012.

Shepherds Bush Common also close: just a 15 minute walk.

  • Restaurants & shopping

Brook Green has a stylish outdoor café culture and a number of small boutiques and quirky shops selling clothes, jewellery and gifts.  Many of these can be found on Blythe Road, whilst the shopping centre White City is home to many top brands.  For further high-end boutiques and shops, head to neighbouring Kensington.

Best place to buy fresh food
Brook Green Wild Food Market aims to build upon the community feel in the area and provide healthy, organic food.  In addition to the top farmers, growers and street food traders it represents, the market offers interactive food demos, teaching customers cooking skills.  It’s a great spot to purchase fresh, local produce and get lunch, with street food from all over the world on offer.

  • Schools

St Paul’s Girls School has been a leading independent secondary school since its formation in 1904.
Notable primary schools nearby include Bute House Preparatory School for Girls, Larmenier & Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, St Mary’s Primary School and The Ecole Francaise de Londres Jacques Prevert.
  • Transport & travel

The area provides easy access out on to the M4 as well as good links into the West End and excellent bus services that run toward Chiswick and Richmond.

Beautiful green open space, fantastic schools, Brook Green is perfect to bring up your children.
