Best places for a drink in summer
There’s a great range of drinking establishments in Kensington all of which have a lively atmosphere and benefit from great outdoor areas. Favorites include the Scarsdale Tavern on Edwardes Square, The Builders Arms on Kensington Court Place and the Windsor Castle on Campden Hill Road. For later in the evening there is the famous Kensington Roof Gardens, and ski chalet themed Bodos Schloss.
Kensington benefits from a variety of green open spaces. These include Kensington Gardens (home of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge), Hyde Park and nearby Holland Park (famed for its summer opera). Each has a variety of recreational facilities, cafes and sports pitches.
The best place for groceries
Residents of Kensington are spoilt for choice in terms of food shopping. The Whole Foods store is the largest in the world, while there is an excellent Waitrose and Marks & Spencer food hall on the high street.
Best place for antiques
Spread along the length of Kensington Church Street, and scattered down its pretty side streets, are over 60 Antiques Dealers offering fine art and antiques from the Tang dynasty to the art deco movement.
The area is well connected to Central London and Heathrow Airport with excellent transport links running through Kensington. Underground stations include

The A4 (Cromwell Road) is to the south of Kensington and provides easy access to Central London and Heathrow Airport. The tube and bus services also provide excellent links to London’s main National Rail stations such as Paddington and Victoria, which also has a large coach station.
