Over the last five years, Tooting has become one of the most popular areas to buy and rent in South West London. Tooting benefits from a diverse range of properties, from new builds such as Penrose Court to stylish properties off of Trinity Road and stunning houses in locations like Furzedown Road and Cheriton Square.

  • Entertainment & nightlife

    A staple of Tooting, the local market has been labelled as the new Shoreditch, arguably the hippest market in South London. Open 7 days a week it’s full of young, up-and-coming restaurateurs and entrepreneurs who are keen to impress. ‘Unwined in Tooting’ and ‘Boom Bap Burger’ are just two regulars, though there is a plethora of stalls to choose from.

    If looking for somewhere indoors, Tooting Tram and Social is known for its bustling crowds and live music, with the bonus of being located by Tooting Bec Station. Take a visit to The Wheatsheaf, a high ceiling red brick pub with delicious food, which is very popular with the nearby offices.

    There are ample large green spaces in Tooting, but the local favourite is Tooting Bec Common. With medieval origins it is home to a playground, tennis courts and Tooting Common Lakes, abundant with carp!

    As the UK’s largest outdoor swimming pool, Tooting Lido is a must-visit during the summer months, but is open all year for avid swimmers. The facilities include a paddling pool for young swimmers, a picnic area and a café.

    Tooting has an incredibly varied range of independent restaurants, you may never eat at the same place twice! The Little Taperia, offers Spanish tapas and promises a lively atmosphere and an even livelier menu. For meat-free cuisine, Sri Lanken and South Indian restaurant Dosa n Chutney is unrivalled and has become increasingly popular with Tooting residents. Highly rated by Google and TripAdvisor, due to its friendly staff and delicious food, is Apollo Banana Leaf and Cassio Restaurant serves Italian food, wine and atmosphere, right next to Tooting Bec Station.

  • Schools

    The local area boasts plenty of primary school options including Hillbrook School, St Boniface Roman Catholic Primary, Gatton Primary and Broadwater Primary. While the most popular secondary schools are Graveney School, Ernest Bevin School and Burntwood School.

  • Transport & travel

    Tooting Bec and Tooting Broadway stations are both on the Northern line, giving quick access to North London via Kentish Town or Chalk Farm. Along with Tooting Railway station providing a half hour journey to St Pancreas and buses to Battersea and Wimbledon, exploring London is incredibly easy.
