Over the last few months I’ve been working on an historical overview of one of London’s grandest estates – The Wellcome Trust Estate (formerly the Smith Charity Estate) in South Kensington. The brochure has just gone live on a new website for Farleys estate agents.

Today, the Wellcome Trust Estate covers some of the most sought after residential property in London. However, prior to the grand Victorian homes this part of London was known for its nursery grounds and market gardens. Large scale property development took place throughout the 19th century with two main architects, George Basevi and Charles Freake.
