Chestertons wins marketing accolade for innovative Avios campaign

Chestertons has been awarded a major marketing accolade for the promotion of its industry-first rewards partnership with Avios, the travel rewards programme, at the 2015 edition the annual Estate Agency of the Year Awards in London’s West End.

With 34 offices in London and an additional 26 international branches, Chestertons is one of the largest residential agents in London while Avios, associated with household names such as British Airways and American Express, is one of the world’s most popular and best recognised reward programmes. Sellers and landlords are able to collect one Avios for every £1 of commission they pay Chestertons for their sales, lettings or property management services.  

Now the marketing team at Chestertons has been recognising for creating and promoting the rewards scheme, winning Bronze in the Best Marketing category at the Estate Agent of the Year Awards, held at the ceremony at the Lancaster Hotel overlooking Hyde Park.

Giles Milner, Chestertons’ Marketing Director, accepting the award from former England Rugby international and TV presenter Matt Dawson, said: “We were very excited to have been able to create this partnership with such a strong brand as Avios, we knew our clients would love it.

“It’s a genuinely innovative partnership, so excellent branding, marketing and PR support are vital in continuing to capitalise on this amazing industry-wide USP. Competition in the marketing category is always very strong, so for us to achieve this national recognition for a campaign that was conceived and executed in-house and with no outside marketing support whatsoever is very satisfying indeed.”

The Chestertons reward programme with Avios began on 1 June 2015, and was officially launched at the annual three-day Chestertons Polo in the Park event at the Hurlingham Club in Fulham. The partnership is an exclusive arrangement between Chestertons and Avios, believed to be the first customer rewards offer from a UK lettings or estate agency. 

The next phase of the marketing campaign is now underway, promoting double Avios rewards on all new Chestertons instructions throughout January 2016.
