191 Munster Road, Fulham London SW6 6BY
Fulham is a rare area that is popular to both families - with its extensive family amenities - and young professionals thanks to its local assets and its close proximity to Kensington, Chelsea and central London.
Properties in Fulham are predominantly late Victorian terraced housing with isolated patches of early Georgian and later Edwardian properties. There are a growing proportion of modern developments, mainly lining the River, which are proving to be of great interest to professionals and overseas buyers.
Although popular in its own right, the area doesn’t attract the level of prices attached to neighbouring locations such as Kensington and Chelsea, which explains its popularity with property owners, investors and tenants alike.

Chestertons acted very professionally and diligently throughout the selling process. Highly recommended.
Client ( Vendor )
We were very pleased with our experience with the majority of the team at Chesterton. In particular the feedback we received after viewings from Olivia and Garth was extremely helpful.
James has been working at Chestertons since 2004. Having started in the Chestertons Fulham office, he moved to work in Battersea where he enjoyed eight years of building up the office before transferring back to Fulham. During this time he has gained extensive knowledge of the area and prides himself on being able to share his experience to deliver the best results for both buyers and sellers alike.
Parks & Recreation
As you would expect in a “family” area there are ample recreation spaces including the Bishops Park, the open lawns of Fulham Palace (formerly the home of the Bishops of London), Hurlingham Park, Eel Brook Common and the intimate space of South Park, as well as smaller public areas including Parsons Green itself. Just across the river is the London Wetland centre, an interesting oasis for those looking to connect with nature. For those with children, it provides both a fun and educational escape.
The Fulham area is home to two top flight football clubs: Chelsea Football Club (Stamford Bridge) and Fulham Football Club (Craven Cottage). The internationally renowned Hurlingham Club sits on the River looking towards Putney. The Club is credited with bringing polo to Britain and used to be the headquarters of Polo. The game is still regulated by the Hurlingham Polo Association. Each year professional polo teams compete at Chestertons Polo in the Park, in Hurlingham Park.
Restaurants & Shopping
There are a number of chic, sleek and contemporary bars & clubs in the area alongside the more traditional, and more “foodie”, gastropubs. Neighbouring Chelsea and Kensington additionally offer a wider choice for revellers looking to go slightly further afield.
The main areas for shopping, boutiques and restaurants are Parsons Green, taking in the New Kings Road and Fulham Road, where shoppers can take their time exploring the many unique shops and independent eateries and Fulham Broadway with a wider more varied selection of retail outlets. Munster Road, Wandsworth Bridge Road, North End Road and Fulham Palace Road also offer great further choices.
Nearby Brook Green has a stylish outdoor café culture and a number of small boutiques and quirky shops selling clothes, jewellery and gifts. Many of these can be found on Blythe Road, whilst the shopping centre White City is home to many top brands. For further high-end boutiques and shops, head to neighbouring Kensington.
Best place to buy fresh food:
Brook Green Wild Food Market aims to build upon the community feel in the area and provide healthy, organic food. In addition to the top farmers, growers and street food traders it represents, the market offers interactive food demos, teaching customers cooking skills. It’s a great spot to purchase fresh, local produce and get lunch, with street food from all over the world on offer.
Entertainment & Nightlife
There are a wide selection of excellent pubs in the area, most offering top class food and wine including the world famous White Horse, aka the 'Sloaney Pony', the Duke on the Green and the Brown Cow. The undoubted leader however is the Harwood Arms on Walham Grove, still the only Pub in London to have been awarded a Michelin Star.
Schools & Education
Fulham is well served by a range of excellent, predominantly private, schools such as Fulham Prep, Thomas’s, Parsons Green Prep, Sinclair House, Kensington Prep (for Girls), Lady Margaret’s and the Lycee Francais Charles de Gaulle overlooking South Park.
Fulham has a number of underground stations to choose from:
There are extensive ranges of bus routes linking directly into Central London and the West End and, recently, a River Bus service running up to Westminster and Blackfriars.
