We try and encourage all our staff to give something back to the community in whatever way they can, whether that’s through fundraising, volunteering or raising awarenessGiles Milner
For the fifth year in a row, Chestertons has been recognised for outstanding implementation of the Payroll Giving fundraising initiative. We have become one of only a small percentage of companies across the UK to be awarded the Diamond Quality Mark, due to support of employees’ charitable contributions throughout the year.
Payroll Giving is a scheme which allows anyone paying income tax to give monthly, to a charity of their choice. All employers that have the scheme are eligible to receive a Quality Mark, a benchmarking system attributed by the Government, recognising the efforts of employers that have supported their employees’ charitable contributions throughout the year.
The Diamond Quality Mark is a new category introduced in 2018 - which we have since been able to attain - to honour 30 years of payroll giving and the significant impact payroll givers have had on charities. Over a third of our employees give regularly to 66 different charities in the UK from their pay. In addition, Chestertons matches all staff donations to boost employees’ efforts in giving to their chosen charities..
