Tenant Handbook

Your landlord will be responsible for dealing with certain issues that can arise during a tenancy. However, as a tenant you will have some responsibilities to keep your home in a good state of repair.

Chestertons are very pleased to be able to share the below tenant handbook which has been produced in order to offer you guidance on all aspects of your tenancy and your home. The handbook is split out into easily-readable sections for example:

  • Looking after your home
  • How to bleed a radiator
  • How to stop condensation forming
  • How to deal with burst or leaking pipes
  • How to keep your washing machine in good working order
  • Controlling the central heating
  • What to do in an emergency (fire, smell of gas, loss of electricity and so on)

The handbook sets out in detail the tenants responsibilities, includes a variety of helpful tips, advice, key emergency contacts and so much more!
