Buyer interest has picked up this year for Chestertons’ Chiswick office, as people have tired of putting their housing plans on hold while waiting for closure on Brexit. Buyers have also been attracted by a fall in property values since the market peaked in 2014, and an increase in the number of available properties for sale this year.
The Chiswick lettings market has been more active so far in 2019, with the number of tenants registering with our local office in the first seven months of the year at more than double compared to the same period of 2018.
Nikki Mention-Dennis, Area Director of South West Lettings comments: “We’re seeing an influx of professional singles, couples and families, as well as corporate relocation tenants looking to move over the summer. There is a real shortage of properties and many of our lets are being agreed within 1–2 weeks of coming to the market.”
